Kathleen Escobar, born and raised in Illinois, is a ceramicist and teacher based in Chicago. Escobar received her Associate in Art from McHenry County College and is currently completing her BA at Loyola University Chicago. She currently teaches in Elgin, IL. Escobar has exhibited in group and solo shows including a group Show, Mystical, Mythical, Magical, College of Lake County (2024), Three Person Show, Color, People & Form, Starline Factory, Overland Gallery (2024) and Solo Exhibition, Still Seeing Monsters, McHenry County College Art and Design Department (2022). Escobar’s work centers around themes of community and connection between individuals. She explores interdependence and the strength built through connection.
